App Store Optimization for Eastern Europe E-commerce Leader - Answear

ANSWEAR.com means shopping without limits! Their offer includes clothes, shoes and accessories from over 300 of the most fashionable global brands and 80,000 products. Among them are popular brands (Mango, Vero Moda), sports brands (Adidas, Nike, New Balance), iconic denim brands (Levi's, Lee, Wrangler), as well as well-known premium brands (Diesel, Guess Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, DKNY). They offer a wide selection of women's, men's and children's collections. With them you can do shopping for the whole family quickly, safely and most importantly - without leaving your home.

ANSWEAR.com came to AppDNA to refresh their ASO strategy and increase their presence in the app stores. After improving ANSWEAR.com’s app visibility, AppDNA then turned to focus on conversion in order to capitalize on the new traffic.


Execution

As part of AppDNA’s optimization efforts, the team used our Intelligence ASO platform to identify which keyword themes were in line with ANSWEAR.com’s popular features and products. This research involved understanding app trends, competitor positioning, keyword ranking performance, seasonality, and overall messaging.

Based on the research we created timeline for ASO changes for both stores. While the short description in Google Play influences keyword rankings, it also can play a large role in the conversion optimization process. More users are likely to notice and read the short description than the more lengthy description that appears later in the store listing. For this reason, AppDNA created several short description test variants based upon ANSWEAR.com’s products and features.

The goal of testing was to learn how to increase overall conversion and increase rankings for best keywords by comparing the performance of three different short description themes against the current short description. ANSWEAR.com’s conversion and downloads saw a substantial increase from our data and AppDNA’s unique approach to ASO.

By taking the time to understand ANSWEAR.com’s features, demographic and the conversion trends tied to each, AppDNA was able to significantly improve ANSWEAR.com’s overall conversion and downloads number This positively impacted performance across all channels.
